The links which follow are only the tip of the mountain that is the internet, and a quick search on any subject will demonstrate what a wide variety of materials exist. We hope these links will provide a starting point for teachers and student interested in learning more about the world.

The Free Dictionary is an online dictionary, thesaraus, and encyclopedia

Encarta World Atlas Online

Encarta Concise Encyclopedia

The Atlapedia is maps and facts about all countries and regions

Ethnologue, Languages of the World (every language, every country!)

National Geographic

National Geographic Kids has great games, photos, activities and more.

Smithsonian Magazine

The World is an hour-long, daily world news show, with music and more.

World Radio Network has a large list of stations worldwide that broadcast online

The PBS broadcast schedule can be searched by day or by subject. It also allows checking local broadcast schedules, and offers a newsletter for teachers.

African Music Encyclopedia has tons of info, and it has a phenomenal links page.
