Overview:
Students will benefit from getting to know their peers in other parts of the world. The links below provide information on forming intercultual connections with students in other parts of the world through pen pal relationships, virtual travels, and Internet based collaborative projects for students from around the world.

Intercultural E-mail Classroom Connections (IECC) is a free service that links teachers with partners in other cultures and countries for email classroom penpal exchanges. Teachers from 82 countries, including China, participate in this program.

SIGNAL Worldwide Penpal Directory is "One of world's largest and oldest mail advertising publications for penpals, collectors, correspondence clubs, mail traders."

Kidlink.org gives "youth better control over their lives, help them mature, get friends, create social networks, and collaborate with peers around the world individually or through their classrooms."

The Odyssey: World Trek for Service and Education is an "interactive world trek" that will link students in classrooms with volunteers traveling around the world for two years learning about different cultures and volunteering with local grassroots organizations.

I*EARN is a "non-profit global network that enables young people to use the Internet and other new technologies to engage in collaborative educational projects that both enhance learning and make a difference in the world."
